Effect of microbes on Patterns of Labeled White Blood Cells in Osteomyelitis

Aim: This study investigates the effect of microbiological characteristics causative organisms on scintigraphicpatterns labelledwhite blood cell (WBC) scans in cases proven osteomyelitis.Methods: Retrospective analysis 25 patients referred with suspected osteomyelitis and had both bone andlabelled WBC performed complete records culture organism.The labelled were retrieved reviewed by two nuclear medicine physicians. Any definitefocal accumulation WBCs within was considered positive for osteomyelitis.
